Well the close season is upon us and we must now start maintenance and clean up of the Humbug before the new season starts, the old metal fencing has been removed from behind the North goal as this was becoming a Health and Safety problem, we hope to fit a light weight mesh shortly. Both goal mouths are being re-turfed and work has already started on this, with the turf being laid later this week. The new turf has now been laid and what a difference already, the netting is being delivered on Friday so we plan to erect it over the weekend.
Re-painting will be done over the next few weeks ready for our first league game on Saturday 10th August.
Big thanks to Gav Hall, Ronnie Duncan & Callum Thow for their recent work at the Humbug, re-laying new turf in both goalmouths, to Craig Stark for his hard work strimming the grass edges around the borders of the Humbug pitch. Willie Mullen for his sterling efforts in re-decorating the canteen, really appreciate this and finally to John Collier for his pitch maintenance work, thank you.
Everyome involved at Crossgates Primrose thank you all very much.
